This carbon fiber hood is not painted or coated, and is designed for race use. The final appearance is not glossy, and would  require polishing the surface of the carbon fiber hood with wet sandpaper to get a high gloss finish. We recommend starting with 400 grit wet sandpaper.The final product may contain tiny "pin holes" in the carbon, which can be filled with putty by a body shop.This product can be painted to match the body color or be clear coated
